Required documents and training contract
The application procedure in Germany is not uniformly regulated. This means that depending on the federal state, city or municipality, different offices are responsible. Sometimes you have to apply at the "Einwohnermeldeamt", sometimes at the "Straßenverkehrsamt" or the "Kreisbehörde". It is best to inquire directly at your driving school. They know the exact procedure and can sometimes even submit the driving licence application for you. However, the prerequisite for a successful application is always that you submit the following documents:

Special case driving licence not at primary residence
You would like to get a holiday driving licence in another city or in a driving school at your school and not at your home in the village? Here's what you need to keep in mind: If you do not obtain your driving licence at your primary residence, the Road Traffic Licensing Office at your primary residence must approve that the place of training and examination is elsewhere.
The background to this regulation is that, with regard to road safety, it should be ensured that you are safe on the road after your training. If, for example, you will drive in a big city later, but have practised in the country with little traffic, this can easily lead to problems at the beginning.
Processing time for your driving licence application
You should expect about four to six weeks to process your driving licence application. So submit it early, otherwise, your driving licence may be delayed. The driving school is only allowed to register you for the exam once you have received the test order. Of course, you can start your driving licence training beforehand.

Tips for the training contract
Once you have found your driving school and your positive impression has been confirmed in the counselling interview, the next step is to sign the training contract. If you are under the age of 18, i.e. still a minor, you will need your legal guardian to sign.
Of course, the training contracts vary from driving school to driving school, but some points are equally included in all driving schools.
The most important are of course the prices (e.g.: the basic fee, basic and special trips, teaching material, registration fees for the exams...). The contract also contains your contact details and the details of your driving school (including bank details). If you want to get your driving licence in an official foreign language, this is often recorded.
The training contract will be filled in and signed at your driving school. For the "driving licence at 17", you still need the signatures and copies on both sides of the identity cards of both legal guardians and all accompanying persons. In addition, copies of the driving licence on both sides of the latter are required.
And after you've transferred the basic fee, you can start right away.
